Next Gen - Spaceship Challenge

This blog is about the Next Gen Spaceship Challenge that was only for 3 days.

Day 1 -

For day 1 we had 5 subcategories of things we had to create within the spaceship. 

Reference Material -

This shows off out reference materials and what aspects that we like about the spaceships and how we only selected a few as they looked the most distinctive out the rest.

Sketches/Planning -

For the second subcategory, we created three rough sketches of what we want in the end. However we combined many parts of the Spaceship sketches for the concepts.

For planning, we assigned roles and what job role everyone within the group will have. We also had a Trello board be created.

Background -

For the background (also known as story), we tried to make the story sound believable and unique at the same to try and make our team stand from the rest.

Concepts - 

We have had 3 different concepts, with 2 being similar to each other. We kept going with a spherical designs with all parts of the ship move faster and in a more streamlined manner.

Day 2 -

For day 2 we had industry feedback for everything that we have created in day 1. The feedback arrived and that they said that ours was unique and stood out from the rest and to ensure other parts linked together well.

Day 3 -

For day 3 we had to complete 2 out of the 3 objectives. The reviewing of the feedback and the updates that came from it in the end.

Review/Updates -

For the final part of the spaceship challenge, we reviewef each part and explained what we did after the feedback occured. For the concepts we combined multiple different designs and added multiple models of the spaceships into an outter space background on a direct representation of how they would look like in action.
