  • An NPC companion who can help the player in their journey. They may have a specific skill set or knowledge of the dungeon that the player does not possess.

  • A cursed item that the player can find and must decide whether to use or discard. Using the item may provide a short-term benefit but may have negative consequences later on.

  • A moral dilemma that the player must face, such as deciding whether to free an imprisoned creature or leave it trapped.
